FAYETTEVILLE, North Carolina — Col. Joseph L. “Al” Fournier, retired U.S. Army passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017.
He was born in Brunswick, Maine on March 28, 1943, the son of Camille Fournier and Noella St. Pierre Fournier.
He served in the U.S. Army for 31 years. Following his military career, he worked for NATO for 10 years.
He earned his BA Degree from the University of Omaha and his Masters Degree from Florida State University.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Ursula, 5 children, 10 grandchildren, three sisters, Rose Coolidge, Alice Yanok, and Jackie Savage of Brunswick, one brother, Maurice Fournier of Lisbon Falls.
Services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Jernigan Warren Funeral Home. Burial will be at Sandhill Cemetary, Fort Bragg, N. C.
