AUBURN — According to multiple published reports, WCSH-TV meteorologist Tom Johnston was found dead in Auburn Thursday. His death is being investigated as a suicide.
Johnston, of Old Orchard Beach, had been missing since Monday.
A statement on the WCSH website read, “Our thoughts and prayers are with Tom’s family. We will miss that great laugh of his, his fierce competitive spirit and his love for all things weather-related.”
The station also listed the number for the National Suicide Prevention Hotline: 1-800- 273-8255.
