With final vote totals reported Wednesday, incumbent Linda Sanborn easily defeated Kenneth J. Hoyt for the District 26 House seat.

Sanborn, 62, a Democrat and retired physician from Gorham, received 60 percent of the vote to 40 percent for Hoyt, a Republican from Gorham.

The district includes part of Gorham.
