Carol J. (Simmons) Boyle Sargent
SOUTH PORTLAND – Carole J. (Simmons) Boyle Sargent, 88, of South Portland, passed away on May 29, 2021 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
Carole was born in Medford, Mass. to Merrill Sydney and Genevieve Hyler (Rose) Simmons on Nov. 18, 1932. She graduated from Needham High School in Needham, Mass. in 1950.
Carole loved knitting, dancing, singing, and being outdoors. Most of all, Carole loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her beautiful voice, gorgeous sweaters, lively and generous spirit, and her sense of humor.
Carole is preceded in death by her mother, father; husband, Robert L. “Bob” Sargent; brother, Theodore “Ted” Simmons, sister, Rita Ramsey-Kohl; son, Michael S. Boyle; and grandson, Lucas Andrade.
She is survived by her son, John V. Boyle of Westbrook, daughter, Jeanne M. Andrade of Captain Cook, Hawaii, daughter, Julie A. O’Baoighill and her long-time partner Giuliana Ciabo, of Minneapolis, daughter, Carrie Genevieve Rose and husband Tom Long, of Gorham; granddaughter, Elijah Herrick and her husband Nick, and their children Evelyn and Danny, of Bath; and grandson, Dustin Andrade of Captain Cook, Hawaii.
At Carole’s request, there will be no services.
