The Maine Celtics have had, needless to say, a whirlwind of a season.

After a red-hot start, the roster has nearly completely turned over. Four of Maine’s starting five from opening night have earned full NBA contracts – Sam Hauser and Luke Kornet with Boston, Theo Pinson with Dallas, and Ryan Arcidiacono with New York.

Still, under the guidance of Head Coach Jarell Christian, and great performances from players like Chris Clemons (three consecutive triple-doubles), the team is poised to make a playoff run as the calendar turns to March.

There are only six more home games on the schedule, starting this Sunday, March 6 against Raptors 905. It is a special 5pm start on March 6 as the team returns from a 5-game road trip.

Maine then has a crucial back-to-back series with Motor City on March 10-11. The Celtics are chasing the Cruise in the standings, and two wins would go a long way.

On Thursday, March 10, Maine will celebrate the NBA’s 75th Anniversary at the game. The night is sponsored by TD Bank and will feature much Celtics fanfare.

Friday, March 11 will be Maine’s Military Appreciation Night. The Celtics will sport special camouflage uniforms, sponsored by General Dynamics. The first 1,000 fans through the Expo doors will receive a free Maine Celtics camouflage rally towel on March 11. The team will recognize active-military and veterans, including the Travis Mills Foundation.

Another back-to-back series awaits the Celtics on March 17-18, this time against the Lakeland Magic. Thursday, March 17 is, of course, St. Patrick’s Day, and the festivities will begin pregame with outdoor events and an appearance from Lucky, the Boston Celtics official mascot. The whole night is sponsored by Dunkin’.

Friday, March 18 will be a celebration two years in the making. Maine was scheduled to have a Bicentennial Night in March 2020, but the pandemic halted the season and cancelled the night. Now, it’s back – and the team will wear special “Maine Flag” uniforms, sponsored by Trademark Federal Credit Union.

The last home game of the regular season will be on Sunday, March 27 against Fort Wayne. The family-friendly 1pm tip time is perfect for Maine’s Fan Appreciation Game. All fans will receive a free Maine Celtics team poster, courtesy of Partners Bank.

There are a lot of great things going on at the Expo this month – you can be a part of it by purchasing tickets to any of our remaining home games HERE.
