Civil War Re-enactment, June 26-27 in Augusta
The Viles Arboretum in Augusta will host a Civil War re-enactment. The events start June 26 with a parade beginning at Old Fort Western in Augusta and following Arsenal Street to the Arboretum. Each day will present both Confederate and Union encampment life with various demonstrations, from bread baking to musket firing. Dozens of re-enactors will be on hand in period uniforms and clothing to answer questions. To learn more go to www.vilesarboretum.org or call 626-7989.
