Maine Wildlife Park will hold a Fall Fun Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30. Visit the park, see your favorite critters and give the scavenger hunt a try along the way. Stop by for a program all about spooky (and not so spooky) creatures of the night. A variety of gourd games and autumn activities will be available for families. The admission gate will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (visitors can stay until 5 p.m.). All Fun Day activities are included with admission.

Trunk or Treat

A Trunk or Treat will be held at New Gloucester Fairgrounds from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29. Neighbors and businesses will decorate vehicles in Halloween themes and pass out candy. Families can walk around the track collecting candy and treats from each vehicle. Costumes are encouraged. www.GNGREC.com.

Vote here

Voting for all residents on Nov. 8 will take place at Newbegin Gym in the Henry Pennell Municipal Complex at 24 Main St. The polls will open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. State of Maine General Election sample ballots and information on absentee ballots or early voting are available at graymaine.org or call 657-2323.

Election Day food drive

The Gray Assessing Department is joining others across the state in holding an Election Day food drive. Donations will support the Gray Community Food Pantry. You can bring nonperishable food items and/or monetary donations to the polls on Election Day or during absentee voting. The town’s Fiscal Year 2022 Annual Report is now available. This report contains updates from each town department and committee/board to help residents understand what happened in town government from July 2021 to June 2022. This report also contains messages from state and local government.

Legion meal for vets

American Legion Auxiliary Unit 86 will provide a free Veterans Day turkey dinner open to all veterans from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11. Sign up in the canteen and if you know of a veteran who could use a meal, invite them and sign them up, too, or contact the legion president or Post adjutant to get them signed up.
