Bertha Anne Lee

SACO – Our mother, Bertha Anne Lee, 78, of Saco, passed away on Nov. 24, 2022. She was born to parents Sidney and Phoebe (Amacher) Finnemore, on March 9, 1944, in Biddeford.

She attended school in Cambridge, Mass. She went on to study at Faith School of Theology . There she met our dad, Richard. They were married for 49 years.

She was a lifelong care giver. She was grateful for the opportunity that she had to foster children. One of her favorite activities was visiting nursing homes and hospitals with our dad as Santa and Mrs. Claus.

She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She was always the first to volunteer for bake sales and talent shows.

Bertha is survived by daughters, Lisa, Dawn and husband Bob, and Jeannie, 10 grandchildren and great grandchildren, two sisters and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; grandchildren Nicholas and Stephanie; siblings Louise and Richard.

A celebration of life at Seacoast Chapel is scheduled for Dec. 3, 2022, at 11 a.m., at 228 Buxton Road, Saco. A reception will follow at the church.
