FREEPORT – Elsie-May Moreau, 87, passed away Nov. 27, 2022 peacefully at Hawthorn House, in Freeport.

Elsie was born July 1, 1935 to Stanley and Gladys Lund. She grew up in Falmouth, graduating in 1953. She attended Dana College, Blair, Neb. Elsie received a degree in social work from St Joseph’s College in Windham, May 2001.

She married Harvey Moreau Jr., May 4, 1956 and moved to North Yarmouth, where she resided for 63 years.

Elsie is survived by her brother, Herbert and Diana Olsen of Otisfield; her son, Marc Vaughn and wife Dee Vaughn from Bennington, Neb., daughter, Petrina “Pam” and husband, Harold Crowell of Durham, son, Stanley and wife, Daphne Moreau of Durham, son, Frank and wife, Jean Moreau of Buxton, daughter, Diane and husband, William Jordan of Cape Elizabeth. She had eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was very involved in her community of North Yarmouth.
