Margery Steele

CUMBERLAND – Marge passed away at home after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Dixfield to Ruth and Frank (Virgin) Curneil.

She attended Falmouth and Cumberland, graduating from Greely High School. She married Norman Steele in 1958 and they were together 55 years until his passing in 2013.Together they raised a daughter and a son. Later in life they enjoyed traveling and taking cruises.

Marge loved spending her time playing beano, bowling, cards, cribbage, and the Oxford Casino!

She is survived by two children, Lynell Parry of Cumberland and Bruce Steele of Raymond; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a very special niece, Christina Robby of Florida.

A special “Thank You” to Julie Dehetere for the loving care and support which allowed Marge to spend her final days at home.

A graveside service will be held in the spring.
