William R. Brown

SOUTH PARIS – William R. Brown, 74, passed on Sunday Feb. 19, 2023, at the Maine Veterans Home. He was born Dec. 28, 1948, in Portland, a son of the late Russell and Emily Brown.

William graduated from Portland High. He joined the Army and proudly served. He worked for the city of Portland for many years.

He was predeceased by his son Russell J Brown; brother Daniel Brown, brother Steven Brown and the love of his life Bernadette Brown. He is survived by his siblings, Michael Brown and fiancé Debbie Morrill, Karen Byrum and husband Clayton, Charlie Brown, Susan Soleski and husband Charles, Jon Brown, Virginia Burke, Carol Boise and husband Roland, Mary Butts and husband Everett; granddaughter Alexis Brown; many nieces and nephews; and his longtime friend Tom Nile.

All services are private and at the convenience of the family.
