VENICE, Fla. – John “Jack” Davis, at the age of 94, died Jan. 19, 2023 at home in Venice, Florida with his wife, Sarah at his side.

Born December 1928 in Westbrook, son of Albert O. Davis and Irene Conant Davis. He was educated in Westbrook and the high school class of 1947. He joined the Air Force after high school and served for three years. Then attended Portland Junior College. Growing up he spent his summers at Higgins Beach and earned his own boat at the age of 11. Loved boating and was active with the Centerboard Yacht Club and then later years, Down East Yacht Club in Boothbay Harbor. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, car enthusiast, golfer and love boating up and down the East coast.

He was a goal achiever in sales and marketing with J.E.Goold for 32 years and awarded the lifetime achievement award. He will be remembered by his family and friends for his sense of humor, patriotism and integrity in life.

Jack is survived by his wife, Sarah Hubbard; daughter, Beth Cook and husband Bry, and grandson, Matt Cook and wife Crissy and their two children, Madison and Owen of Maine; son, Chris Davis and wife Perry of Arizona. Also missed by stepson, Bradley Hubbard and wife Jennifer and granddaughter Anna of New Hampshire; and stepdaughter, Brenda Dowd and husband John and granddaughter Morgan.

Inurnment service with Honors will be held later this summer at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery.
