COLUMBUS, Ohio — Leo Komarov scored two late goals and Toronto beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 6-3 on Friday night to give Mike Babcock his first victory as coach of the Maple Leafs.
Joffrey Lupul had a goal and an assist to help Toronto improve to 1-2-1.
Scott Hartnell had a goal and an assist for Columbus to reach 600 career points. The Blue Jackets are 0-5-0, extending the worst start in franchise history.
SHARKS 2, DEVILS 1: Joe Pavelski and Brent Burns scored in the shootout and San Jose rode another big effort by Martin Jones – 31 saves – in a victory at winless New Jersey.
