Fernande M. (Boucher) Burch

BATH – Fernande M. (Boucher) Burch of Bath passed away on Friday, Nov. 15, 2025, at The Plant Memorial Home. She was 98 years old.

Fern was born in Brunswick, on Sept. 18, 1927, the daughter of Francois and Delia Boucher. She married Clarence (Jerry) Burch on Oct. 9, 1948. As a Navy wife, she lived in Greenwich, Warwick, Newport and Middletown Rhode Island, Philadelphia, Pa., and Kittery, before settling with her family in Bath.

Fern was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, a member of the choir, the ladies sodality and the Divine Mercy prayer family. She was devout in her faith throughout her life. She was also a member of the Bath Area Senior Citizens where she was the queen of the bocce ball courts.

She was predeceased by her husband Jerry; her son, Dennis Burch; her granddaughter Kristen Jo Mangiulli and her great granddaughter Ganredeh Gadsby. She was also predeceased by her siblings Marie, Gertrude, Joseph and Urban.

She is survived by four children. Sons Jim (Rosalinda) Burch of Freeport, and Larry (Joyce) Burch of Dresden. Daughters Elise (Joe) Mangiulli of West Bath, and Leslie Malone of Bremen. Fern leaves 13 grandchildren, Kelly Burch, Kathy Gadsby, Melissa Burch, David Burch, Joy Frohmiller, Damek Burch, Andrea and Stephen Mangiulli and Andrew, Brandon, Dennis and Grethel Burch. She is also survived by 32 great grandchildren!

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of the Plant Home for the loving care she was provided while living there.

A Mass of Christian Burial will he held on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, at 10 a.m., at St Mary’s Church. Interment at Oak Grove Cemetery where she will join Jerry and Dennis in eternal rest.
