PORTLAND – Barry Buck passed away unexpectedly in Portland on Dec. 2, 2025. He was the son of David and Joyce Buck of Fairfield. Barry graduated from Lawrence High School, Fairfield, and attended the University of Maine, Farmington.
He enjoyed working, spending time outdoors, watching sports, especially cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and being surrounded by the people he loved. In his free time, Barry also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his daughter, which brought him great joy.
Barry is survived by his wife, Mary Lyn Buck; his daughter, Lily Alexis Buck of Portland and his son, Jacob French and his wife Brittany of China. He is also survived by his sisters Tracy Rancourt and husband Duane, and Jennifer Buck and her significant other, Eric Hall, all of Fairfield.
He was deeply loved by his nephews Michael Palow, Eric Gilley, Curtis Roper Jr., and his niece, Chantel Plummer and husband Zac; his grandchild, Lydia Rose French; his grandnephews Keenan Roper, Easton Roper, and Jeffrey and Jameson Plummer.
A funeral service and celebration of life will be held in the spring.
