Joan O’Hara
KENNEBUNK – Joan O’Hara, 94, of Huntington Common Drive passed away on Sunday March 22, 2026, at Huntington Commons in Kennebunk.
Born May 29, 1931, in Worcester, Mass., the daughter of James F. and Frances (Knibbs) Folsom. She was a graduate of Wellsley High School and received her B.S in Biology from Tufts University.
Joan love fiber arts and was known for her sewing, knitting, and even spinning her own yarn. She was a proud member of the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church of Kennebunk and was an active member of many boards and groups including the Woman’s Group. She was a devoted Friend of Bill W for over 50 years.
Joan was predeceased by her husband Desmond O’Hara; and children, Gordon O’Hara and Shirley O’Hara.
She is survived by her two children, Evan O’Hara of Lewiston, and James O’Hara and his wife Diane of Litchfield.
