Merrymeeting Arts Center will present “Partners In Art,” an exhibition of artistic couples, at a free opening reception from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 9, at the gallery, 9 Main St, Bowdoinham.
“Partners In Art” brings together several remarkable pairs of artists whose lives and work intertwine in fascinating ways. From collaborative installations to complementary solo pieces displayed side-by-side, this exhibition explores how partnership shapes artistic vision.
Witness how shared studios, late-night critiques and decades of mutual inspiration translate into powerful visual statements. Each couple brings a distinct dynamic — some paint together, others work in dialogue across mediums and a few challenge viewers to consider where one artist ends and another begins.
