Robin Charles Wallace

LEXINGTON, S.C. – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robin Charles Wallace, who left us on March 28, 2026. Born on August 23, 1946, in the District of Columbia, he lived a perfectly imperfect life, like the rest of us, and left an indelible mark on everyone who truly knew him.

Highly intelligent, undeniably funny and incredibly charismatic, he was a man of great depth. Robin kept his circle small; those honored to be close to him knew the kind, caring, and fiercely loyal soul underneath all the armor. His love for his family was paramount, his six grandchildren—Jameson, Parker, Isabel, Andrew, Olivia, and Matthew—were among the greatest joys and proudest accomplishments of his lifetime. Robin also had a deep and lifelong passion for dogs, finding immense happiness and unwavering connection with his loyal companions. A steadfast admirer of airplanes and a US Navy veteran, Robin was always the proudest American in the room.

Robin will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him. His loving wife and best friend of over 45 years, Gail Adams Wallace; his children Jason Malo, Kristen Ettenger, Kristen Wallace and their partners; his close friends Iain and Elaine Hamilton and their children Robyn and Blair; and extended friends and family Sue, Bruce, Ruth, Judy and Michael, their spouses; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

We find comfort in the hope that he is now sitting in the warmth of the sun with his dear friend Peter, his adored brother Gerry and his beloved chocolate lab, Boston, listening peacefully to Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World,” watching over and guiding us from above.

The immediate family will host a ‘Celebration of Life’ to honor a life well lived.

In lieu of flowers or donations, we ask that you contact a distant loved one, make someone laugh today or hug a dog in his honor, who left us on March 28, 2026.
