The State Theatre in downtown Portland is one of five venues nominated nationwide for the Academy of Country Music’s Venue of the Year award on Monday.
The other nominees are the Blue Gate Theatre in Shipshewana, Indiana, the Franklin Theatre in Franklin, Tennessee, and the Grand Ole Opry House and Ryman Auditorium, both in Nashville, Tennessee.
The winner will be announced in the coming weeks, and a trophy will be presented during the 19th Academy of Country Music Honors, an event held annually in August in Nashville.
In a Facebook post Monday, the State Theatre said it was honored to be nominated.
