Robert Osborne

LEWISTON – Robert Osborne passed away peacefully on Friday, May 15, 2026. He was 75 years old.

Robert retired from Central Maine Power after more than 30 years of service, where he was highly respected for his hard work, leadership, and willingness to help others whenever needed.

An avid outdoorsman, Robert found great joy in hunting, fishing, landscaping, traveling, and playing cards with family and friends. He appreciated the beauty of Maine and treasured time spent outdoors and making memories with loved ones. He will be remembered for his steady presence, sense of humor, and deep love for his family.

Robert was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Heidi Osborne of Brunswick; his parents, Robert and Lucille Osborne of Sangerville; his sister, Judy Grant, and her husband Edward Grant, and his brother-in-law, Jim Burgess.

He is survived by his daughters, Suzanne Osborne and Peter Eck and Stephanie Osborne and Brian Ross, both of Brunswick; his cherished grandchildren, Samantha Hopkins, Nicholas Osborne, Sarah Libby, Reilly Rafford, and Cameron Rafford; his sister, Jill Burgess of Lewiston, his sister, Deborah Elderkin and her husband Galen Elderkin of Sangerville; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visit 2 to 4 p.m. on Friday, May 29, at the Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick. A memorial service will follow at 4 p.m., officiated by Rev. Mark Rockwood.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Robert’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association in support of dementia awareness and research.
