David William Huntley Sr.

TOPSHAM – David William Huntley Sr., 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 28, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Born on March 24, 1936, in Rumney Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom. David immigrated to Brooklyn, New York, when he was 21 and met his lovely wife, Elizabeth Huntley, and the rest is history. David’s love for his wife was only matched by his love of soccer. He played from age 8 – 21, playing for the local team in Cardiff. David was known for his love for soccer, strawberry shortcake, bowling, Dunkin coffee, swimming, traveling, love for blackjack, and being the family prankster. His two favorite spots in the world were Aruba and Great Britain.

David is survived by his bride of 55 years, Elizabeth Huntley, and their four children: Nathalie (Stephen) Schlieper, George (Helen) McFarlane, Rosalyn Errico, and David (Lindsey) Huntley, whom he cherished dearly. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren – whom he adored.

Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that David’s love and spirit will always remain with us. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Friends and family are invited to visit 5-8 p.m., Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal Street, Brunswick.
