Now through July 10, the Brunswick and Topsham branches of Norway Savings Bank are holding a major supply drive to assist Midcoast Humane in its mission of creating a better world for pets and the people who love them.

The locations at 14 Gurnet Road and 83 Maine St., Brunswick, and at 47 Topsham Fair Mall Road, Topsham, will have large donation boxes for customers and community members to drop off needed items that will be delivered to the nonprofit. Items can include wet or dry puppy, kitten, dog and cat food; animal treats and toys; flea and tick medications; collars and leashes; and towels, sheets and blankets. Visitors to the branches will also have the opportunity to take home a flyer with a long list of additional needed items.

Based in Brunswick, Midcoast Humane is one of Maine’s largest and most impactful animal welfare organizations. With sheltering facilities in Brunswick and Edgecomb, the organization cares for more than 4,000 animals each year, providing safety, compassion and second chances for those in need. Every animal receives exceptional veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations and medical treatment, as well as the love and comfort they deserve while waiting for new, loving homes.

The lobbies at both Brunswick branches and the Topsham branch are open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays. In addition, the branch on 14 Gurnet Road (Cook’s Corner) and the Topsham branch are open from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.

If you are unable to drop supplies off at the branches and would like to donate to Midcoast Humane or discover other ways you can assist, visit the organization’s website at midcoasthumane.org.
