I find it hard to swallow that our current president is the face of our country as we approach our 250th birthday as a nation.
Isn’t his image plastered all over Washington, D.C., already, like Big Brother’s? (The idea of a new $250 bill with his mug on it? Gimme a break! What am I going to do with a $250 bill? Fill my fuel tank?)
I think about those who have toiled, sacrificed, served or suffered to help America become a place where our promise, principles and ideals have somewhat survived. The president has really only served only himself and his supporters, not those he was elected to serve. For our nation’s special birthday, my family and I will humbly show our respect. Trump will continue to make it all about him.
