Norman will be remembered for the enjoyment he had with antique automobiles and trucks, antique engines, camping, and being with family- especially watching the little grandchildren and great-grandchildren play. Norman was quite a storyteller, among the favorites are … “Marshmallow Fluff” and “What I ate for breakfast”
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Dorothy (Geyer) Dyer; a son, Norman Dyer Jr.; a grandson, Anthony Albert; and all of his siblings, Alfred Dyer Jr., Bertrand Dyer, Gene Dyer, and Bertice Borkowski.
Norman is survived by his children, Carol Farrow and her husband Bill of Baldwin, Wayne Dyer of Steep Falls, and Amy Albert and her husband David of Heath Springs, S.C., a daughter-in-law, Wanda Dyer of Raymond; eight grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
His family would like to thank Dr. Rovner and all of his staff for their care over the years and the staff at Mercy Hospital, especially the Palliative Care and Hospice Care teams.
A private service will be held at the Poitras, Neal & York Funeral Home in Cornish.
To remember Norman in a special way, take a leisurely ride to New Portland, visit the historic Wire Bridge and Field View, a family cemetery on Middle Road. Field View is a beautiful and peaceful spot, located on family land, where Norman will join Dorothy and Norman Jr. in eternal rest.
