Lauriston “Larry” Thomas Jackson

MINOT – It is with profound sadness that we share the loss of Lauriston “Larry” Thomas Jackson, 60, of Minot, Maine, who passed away peacefully in the presence of his family on June 29, 2026, at The Hospice House, following a short battle with cancer.

Born on Oct. 27, 1965, in Chicopee, Mass., to Willard and Linda Jackson, Larry packed a lifetime of living into his 60 years and made the most of every moment. He will be remembered for his warm, engaging smile, his enthusiasm for life, and his remarkable ability to connect with people.

Larry loved his family deeply and cherished the life he built with Dina, his high school sweetheart and devoted wife of 35 years, and with Mikayla, his beloved daughter, of whom he was immensely proud. He also shared his life with many precious pets who brought him great joy. His love of family and nature and his sensitivity to what people and animals may need or want was insightful and spiritual in the most authentic way.

Friendship was extremely important to Larry. He treasured his friends, always finding time to stay connected and ensuring they knew how much they meant to him.

Larry possessed a generous nature and a desire to help others. Whether mowing a neighbor’s lawn, plowing someone’s driveway after a snowstorm, or stopping traffic to help a turtle safely cross the road, he was always ready to lend a hand.

Ever curious and engaged, he was interested in the world around him and embraced life with an adventurous spirit. He relished pursuing his many hobbies and passions, making time to hunt, fish, ski, snowmobile, play basketball, road cycle, build stone walls, keep bees, make maple syrup, train hunting dogs, and ride motorcycles.

Larry’s rewarding career as a sales broker spanned several decades and was defined by his charm, quick wit, and genuine interest in people. His professional journey culminated in 24 fulfilling years with Canusa Paper & Packaging, where he built many meaningful relationships. Larry’s passion for his work, integrity, and enthusiasm inspired those around him and left an enduring mark.

Larry is survived by his wife Dina (Richard) Jackson; daughter, Mikayla Jackson; parents Willard and Linda Jackson; siblings Leisa (John) Chasse, Deedra (Bert) Langelier, Randy (Darci) Jackson and Andrea (Jim) Cronan; and many nieces, nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews.

To honor his wishes, Larry’s Celebration of Life will be a private gathering for close family and friends. Those invited will be contacted directly with the details.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or

The Nature Conservancy
