Mark T. Mickeriz
KENNEBUNK – Mark T. Mickeriz, 73, of Kennebunk, and Fort Myers, Florida, passed away on July 10, 2026, following a brief illness due to complications from surgery.
Born on Sept. 23, 1952, in Rumford, Mark lived a full and meaningful life dedicated to his family, his community, and the people he served. A graduate of the University of Maine at Orono, he built a distinguished career in banking, serving for many years as president and CEO of Partners Bank. His leadership, integrity, and commitment to helping others earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues, customers, and friends throughout the region.
Mark believed deeply in giving back to his community. He was an active member of Rotary in both Kennebunk and Sanford and proudly served on the MaineHealth Hospital board. He remained a member of the Partner’s Bank board up to his passing. He approached every role with generosity, wisdom, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference.
Outside of his professional and civic life, Mark found his greatest happiness with his family. He loved spending time on the golf course, traveling, and culinary experiences (including a good steak and Dairy Queen), and creating lasting memories with those he loved most. He especially cherished his role as a father, and with his girls, who made him the original girl dad.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, George and Bernadette Mickeriz.
He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Sandra (Aylward) Mickeriz; his daughters, Elizabeth Lepisto and her husband, Mike, of Kennebunk, Laura Briggs and her husband, Frank, of Kennebunk, and Kristen Giles of Shapleigh. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Ryzen Mickeriz, Jacob Cook, and Lola Cook, whom he adored, as well as his siblings, Michael Mickeriz, Erika Myer, and Stephen Mickeriz; along with many extended family members, friends, and colleagues who will miss him dearly.
Mark’s legacy is one of service, leadership, kindness, and unwavering devotion to his family and community. He lived with purpose, led with compassion, and touched countless lives through his generosity and example. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Visiting hours will be held from 4-6 p.m., on Friday, July 17, at Bibber Memorial Chapel in Kennebunk. A memorial service celebrating Mark’s life will be held on Saturday, July 18, at 11 a.m. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and honor a truly remarkable man whose life made a lasting difference.
