BANGOR — The Bangor State Fair is offering flat-fee tickets that allow Maine fairgoers to pay a daily fee of $10 to attend all events and shows and have unlimited use of rides.
Now in its 161st year, the fair opens today at the Bass Park complex. It continues through Aug. 8.
The fair is one of the largest in Maine, featuring a midway, animal exhibits, shows, crafts, animal-pulling events and harness racing. The fair last year drew more than 71,000 people.
