Morgan covers crime and public safety for the Press Herald. Although she'll always consider herself a Midwesterner, coastal Maine reminds her of where she grew up - the sandy shores of West Michigan. A recent graduate of Michigan State University, Morgan served as the editor-in-chief of the independent, student-run State News. She first delved into crime reporting at IndyStar, where she tackled breaking news and covered homicides at her internship. She's also worked on the digital side of news during her time at NPR member station Michigan Public. Outside of the newsroom, you might find Morgan browsing thrift stores, listening to indie pop music or continuing her perpetual hunt for the perfect chai latte.
