Chairwoman: Freeport-Pownal-Durham school budget, tax hikes 'modest'

FREEPORT — The Regional School Unit 5 Board of Directors unanimously adopted a budget for fiscal year 2020 that includes an increase of $1.1 million over this year’s $33 million budget.  The budget recommended by Superintendent Becky Foley estimates that $26.8 million will be raised from taxation.
