Pious Ali is Maine’s finalist for the $100,000 award from a foundation, with the winner chosen in an online poll.

High school principal Don Reiter was put on administrative leave last week pending investigations by the school and the Waterville Police Department of a situation involving an individual, according to his lawyer.

Worried about traffic under a revamped pickup system, some transport their kids themselves and complain to the district, which is planning no changes for now.
