SCARBOROUGH — Longtime Town Councilor Shawn Babine has unseated House District 29 Republican Rep. Karen Vachon. According to unofficial results, Babine, a Democrat, outpolled Vachon by a 2,984-2,600 vote. District 29 represents part of Scarborough.
State House District 22: Blier defeats Fitzgerald
Standish voted 170-155 in Fitzgerald’s favor. Voter totals for Buxton, Limerick and Limington were not available.

SOUTH PORTLAND — State Rep. Lois Galgay Reckitt, D-South Portland, defeated Republican challenger, Kenneth Decatur of South Portland, in the race to represent House District 31.
