The Westbrook American reported on Aug. 6, 1958, that Westbrook Postmaster George Robinson recognized Odilon Bernier for driving 10 years without an accident. The Dorcas Society of Hollis and Buxton were presenting two August performances of  “The Old Peabody Pew” in the Old Tory Meeting House at Buxton’s Lower Corner.
