HOCKEY AHL: The Portland Pirates reassigned forward Evan Bloodoff to the ECHL’s Gwinnett Gladiators and released veteran defenseman Bryce Lampman from his professional tryout contract. Bloodoff, a left wing, was scoreless in eight games with the Pirates. In eight games with the Pirates, Lampman had a rating of minus-6.

Curtis McElhinney records his seventh shutout of the season, leading Springfield to a 3-0 victory.

The Pirates will play seven games away from the Civic Center, starting Saturday in Bridgeport.

HOCKEY AHL: The Phoenix Coyotes, parent club of the Portland Pirates, reassigned rookie goaltender Mike Lee from the AHL Pirates to the Gwinnett Gladiators of the ECHL.
