Gray council considers forming charter commission

The commission would consist of 7 members elected in November. Councilors said an update to the charter is needed.

Residents also approved a $13 million municipal budget.

The 5 Town Council candidates spoke about issues ranging from data centers to cannabis and the canceled sheriff’s contract.

The town will utilize a new logo and the longtime, informal town motto, “At the Heart of It All.”

Town Assessor Lauren Asselin is replacing Denise Clavette.

Town officials discussed how national and international events, including higher Canadian tariffs, affect small town budgets.

The Village Transformation Project would rework the town’s roads and sewer systems to become more business and pedestrian friendly.
