Jami L. Murphy of South Portland recently received a bachelor of science degree in psychology from Endicott College in Beverly, Mass.

Murphy graduated with distinction magna cum laude and also received the Academic Science Award from the School of Arts and Sciences and also the President’s Award, which recognizes students in the top of the class and demonstrates a significant contribution to the Endicott community.

Murphy participated in the College Honors Program and also is a member of the Mortar Board, the college’s National Honor Society.

Murphy was a 2001 graduate of South Portland High School and is the daughter of Michael and Deborah Murphy and the granddaughter of Dorothy and Walter Murphy of South Portland and Arlene and Donald Smith of Pownal.
