Charles Cornwell will be installed as the new postmaster of Steep Falls on Wednesday July 13 at 2 p.m. at the Steep Falls Post Office at 1090 Pequaket Trail in Steep Falls. The oath of office will be administered by Regina Bugbee, manager of post office operations for the U.S. Postal Service, District of Maine.

The new Postmaster began his career 20 years ago as a LSM Clerk in Portland, Maine. He also served as a Training Technician in Portland and the Postmaster of Andover, Maine. Since that time, his detail assignments have included Officer in Charge at the Dixfield Post Office.

Cornwell, as postmaster is responsible for three other employees handling the mail for 217 post office boxholders and 513 rural deliveries.

The new postmaster says his personal goal for the Steep Falls office is to provide the best possible service to the people of Steep Falls.
