The Scarborough Board of Education has formed two building committees to study the construction of a new grades 3 to 5 intermediate school and a major expansion of the middle school.

The committees will serve as advisory panels to the school board and will work closely with project architects Harriman Associates in developing the building plans.

The board hopes to have plans ready for a 2006 referendum vote.
