Courtney Thoreck of 44 Murray Drive collected just under 50 signatures for her petition by standing out in the middle of the street and waving cars down as they drove by.

She wanted the two-way stop at the intersection of Ramble Road and Murray Drive changed into a four-way stop. Her home, at the corner of Ramble and Murray, sees the brunt of the neighborhood traffic.

With four children under the age of 10, the Thorecks were uncomfortable and felt a four-way stop would decrease traffic speed. Last month the Town Council approved the four-way stop and Public Works put up two new stop signs on Monday.

Thoreck said she hopes the stop sign will help make people more aware of their speed.
