Fire Extinguisher recovered

A stolen fire extinguisher was recovered from one of the athletic fields by the Middle School. It had been used. Stolen from the middle school two-weekends ago, the extinguisher was presumably taken by kids, said investigating Officer Mark Dorval. The vandals also damaged lockers, drew swastikas on walls and smashed a pumpkin. Sgt. Brent Sinclair said this kind of investigation is not easily solved because the school was open for the majority of the weekend making it difficult to pinpoint when the vandalism occurred.

On Dec. 5, at approximately 1715 hours, I, Patrolman Webster, met with a resident of the Fowler Road area regarding a motor vehicle burglary complaint. Taken was a Makita skillsaw and a cordless tool set containing a skillsaw, drill, flashlight, and a battery pack. The tools, valued at about $400, were in carrying cases.

On Dec. 6, at approximately 1015 hours, I, Officer Thompson checked on two bowhunters at Route 77 and Old Ocean House Road, who stated they had wounded a deer and were tracking it. They were unable to produce hunting licenses and their bow was confiscated. They came to the police station a short time later with proof of being licensed to hunt, and the equipment was returned to them.

On Dec. 9, at about 0930 hours, I Patrolman Dyer, met with a local business representative in the Ocean House Road area regarding an attempted burglary. A door had been damaged but no entry had been gained.
