Issuing an official proclamation that will change the name of Raymond temporarily to “Derby Town, USA,” during February’s Derby Fest 2006, event organizers Tom Noonan, middle, and Toby Pennels, right, receive the proclamation from Board of Selectmen Chairwoman Betty McDermott at Tuesday night’s selectmen meeting. The 2006 edition of the Windham Rotary Club’s Derby Fest starts the last weekend of February. This year’s event features an ice fishing contest with $25,000 worth of prizes, motorcycle and car races on ice, Polar Ice Dip, ice shack judging contest, snowmobile radar run, ice fisherman of the year contest and a cross-country ski race.
