South Portland resident Frank Durgin and three others protested the Iraq occupation this past Sunday on the Casco Bay Bridge. Bridges for Peace is a grassroots movement that started in Maine in the fall of 2002. Each Sunday from noon to 1 p.m. people gather on bridges across the state in demonstration against the war.
