New cop in Cape

Nicholas Rich is the Cape Elizabeth police department’s newest hire.

A native of Yarmouth, he graduated from Yarmouth High School in 2000. He then earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminology from the University of Southern Maine in 2004. Rich’s interests include coaching hockey and lacrosse, snowshoeing, and fishing. Rich and Cape officer Aaron Webster, hired this past summer, will attend the Criminal Justice Academy, basic police training program, in Vasselboro for 18 weeks. They leave Jan. 23.
