Where are the sliding hills today? There was a time when the population was a lot less, that most houses had a hill nearby where a winter storm meant lots of sliding. The “reformatory hill” was also a destination for lots of Windham and Gorham kids. Many years ago, this group of Windham youngsters found a place and stopped long enough to have their picture taken. It appears they’re on a toboggan and can’t wait to get going! This photo was loaned by Betty Winslow who was a North Windhamite. Courtesy photo
