The Richards Community Pool is set to re-open today (Jan. 26). The pool was closed this past week when swimmers complained of sickness after a workout. Poor air ventilation was the suspected reason for the problem.

After testing, officials discovered while chloride levels met Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards, the levels were slightly higher than nationally recommended standards. Fans are being installed to increase circulation, and improvements are being made to the ventilation system.
