Tim Seavey of Seavey’s Appliance has joined the upcoming Maine Home, Remodeling and Garden Show as a sponsor of the Second Annual Meet the Chefs cooking series. Seavey and Don Chamberlain of Delia Inc., district sales manager for Viking, have worked to bring state-of-the-art Viking appliances, cookware and cutlery to the show.
“Meet the Chefs opened up a world of possibilities at this show,” says Seavey. “The chefs will be using some of the finest cookware and cutlery available and the kitchen studio, installed by Castle Kitchens of Scarborough, is a perfect fit for our Viking appliances. We will also set up a new display area dedicated to the newest, most innovative products in the Viking line. The whole concept is a tremendous opportunity for us and for the public.”
Seavey’s Appliance started as Clover Farms, a general store at Fosters Corner, South Windham opened in 1920 by Alonzo and Eva Seavey. Over the next eight decades, the store was transformed from a general store to a Red & White grocery with a radio and Victrola repair business that grew into appliance sales. Later, an automotive supply house was added to the enterprise. Tim Seavey is the fourth generation to preside over the family’s business. Today, Seavey’s offers appliances, technologically advanced electronics, and much more in its four locations in Windham, Scarborough, Topsham, and Standish.
The Maine Home, Remodeling and Garden Show will be at the Cumberland County Civic Center on February 11-12. Show hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
