An oldsmobile Omega was stopped at the red light past the marsh on route one Wednesday evening in Scarborough when a Toyota Corolla rear-ended it. Oldsmobile Driver Chuck Stoll, of South Portland said he’d passed the Corolla heading north while it swerved across the right lane. “Thank goodness we both had our seatbelts on, or we would’ve both gone through the windshield,” said Stoll. Stoll and his great aunt were returning from their nightly drive when they were hit from behind.Chuck Stoll and his great aunt sat waiting for the stop light to turn green when they were struck from behind by a Toyota Corolla Wed. night on Route one in Scarborough. Stoll said he’d passed the Corolla earlier and it appeared to be swerving. Scarborough officer Rob Pellerin said the Corolla driver was a middle aged woman who may have been suffering diabetes complications. The Corolla driver suffered facial injuries and was transported to the hospital. Stoll and his great aunt were examined by medics and then taken home to South Portland by Pellerin.accidentaccident
