After being cancelled several times due to warm weather, nature finally cooperated and Scarborough Community Services held its Winterfest on Sunday.
Adults and children alike turned out on a chilly afternoon to skate at the rink and participate in many different activities, ranging from broom hockey to skating races. Many just slowly skated around the rink, enjoying one of the few truly winter like days so far this year. For those less inclined to skate there were horse drawn carriage rides during the afternoon.
