The Cape Elizabeth Land Trust recently received a building donation on one acre of land. They plan to renovate the building, commonly known as the Fish and Farm building, to use as Land Trust office space.

Cape residents Bruce Coggeshall and Peter Haffenreffer IV donated the building and land under the influence of Coggeshall’s wife, Phyllis, a former Land Trust president. The Land Trust Board of Directors approved the gift and decided to use it as office space after making renovations.

Land Trust Executive Director Chris Franklin thanked the benefactors in a release dated Feb. 21. “This new office will be much more manageable and provide us with a venue to interact more with the community,” he said. The land is located on Route 77 across from the CVS and IGA.

The Land Trust is depending on donations and grants to pay for building renovations. If interested in making a donation or for more information, contact 767-6054, or [email protected].
