Eleven-year-old Emily Audette, of Windham Center Road in Windham, creates a wonderful soup concoction in the kitchen of Freeport’s Harraseeket Inn last Wednesday afternoon. Emily, who loves making soup at home, is coping with a life-threatening heart condition known as hypo-plastic left heart syndrome. With the help of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Emily will travel to Florida to swim with dolphins during school vacation in April. Last week’s trip to Freeport was also made possible by the Foundation and allowed her to be a “star soup chef” for a day, another of Emily’s passions. After preparing soup, Emily and her family were served an elegant dinner with the special wish soup by Harraseeket wait staff. Courtesy photos
