Children returned home

On March 19, at 7:48 a.m., police located two girls ages 9 and 10 alone at the Family Dollar store in Oak Hill after receiving a complaint and transported them back to the Foxcroft development.

Erratic driving

On March 19, at 4:12 p.m., police arrested Michael Abbott, 47, of Gorham, and charged him with operating under the influence after receiving a tip from a resident who reported a man purchased some alcohol and seemed to be intoxicated. Police located Abbott and followed him and saw he was speeding and driving erratically. Police then pulled him over.

Auto part theft

On March 20, Black Point Auto Collision reported the theft of $200 in automobile parts.

Dog bite

On March 20, a five-and-a-half-year-old girl was bit by a neighbor’s dog while at a bus stop at River Woods Drive. The girl was taken to the hospital and received six stitches.

Damaged window

On March 20, the owner of It’s a Good Motel reported that someone had broken her home’s window and door and gained entrance to the home. Nothing was stolen and the damaged is estimated between $75 and $100.

House burglary

On March 21, a Thurston Lane resident reported that a burglar had stolen a $16,000 plasma television and $7,300 in jewelry. Police say they have a strong suspect in the case.

Vandalized truck

On March 21, a Payne Road resident reported that someone had keyed a pick-up truck that he parked in the Orion Center parking lot to sell.

Identity theft

On March 21, an Evergreen Farms Road resident reported that someone had stolen his credit card and identity and tried to purchase tires on the Internet. The case remains under investigation.

Stolen check card

On March 22, a man reported that someone had stolen his check card he may have dropped at Subway and when he went to close his account learned that someone had purchased $370 worth of goods on the Internet. The case remains under investigation.

Police chase

On March 22, a 17-year-old male at Ingraham Transitional House was caught with alcohol and authorities contacted his probation officer. Before the officer arrived, the teen fled. Scarborough police eventually apprehended him O’Donnell’s Nursery hiding behind a building.

No work here

On March 23, Scarborough police responded to a complaint at Hannaford supermarket where a man was approaching people and asking them for work and when he was told there was no work he became upset. Police ordered the man to move on.

March 22

Michael C. Parker, 21, of Sunrise Motel, Saco, was arrested on U. S. Route 1 and charged with operating after suspension.

March 23

Khesir Washington, 29, of Old Orchard Road, Buxton, was arrested on County Road and charged with violation of bail, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Garry M. Collins, 37, address unavailable, was arrested on a warrant charge of failing to pay fine for theft.

Kristin R. Lock, 27, of East Grand Avenue, Old Orchard Beach, was arrested on Route 9 at the Bickford Street intersection on a warrant charge of failing to appear for assault.

March 24

Kenneth E. May, 20, of Chapel Street, Biddeford, was arrested on Haigis Parkway and charged with operating after suspension.

March 25

Christiane M. Hollis, 28, of Temple Avenue, Old Orchard Beach, was arrested on Payne Road and charged with failing to submit, failing to give correct name, theft, unlawful possession of cocaine and sale and use of drug paraphernalia.
